Weekly

A focused newsletter on chess tournaments, for people who follow the top players

What an issue holds

Once a week: round results and standings from the top tournaments, one game worth a closer look, rating changes and milestones, and what a result means for the world championship cycle. For a fan who follows the top of the game, not a beginner learning openings.

What it leaves out

Not beginner strategy tips and openings tutorials, not chess.com or lichess puzzle-of-the-day content, not online blitz content with no tournament behind it, not betting or prediction-market content.

Where the news comes from

Chess.com news, Lichess blog, FIDE news, ChessBase, The Week in Chess.
